Hi I'm Sheep Detective! Nice to meet you! I'm around 9 years old and I weigh 12 lbs. I am an adorable little lamb! I have been fully vet checked, had a dental recently, and am almost 100% house broken. I do silly acrobatics around the house (see video) and I can't wait to be your best friend. please note All of our dogs are in private foster homes. Once you fill out an application it will be screened by our volunteer adoption team. From there, if your application looks like a good fit for the particular dog, it will be sent to the foster where you can ask all the questions you would like and schedule a meet and greet. We do not transport our dogs. If you apply from out of state we do request you come to Los Angeles to meet us and fly home in cabin or drive. www.apurposefulrescue.org
🧠 Temperament
Genuinely one of the smartest breeds — quick to learn, and quick to invent bad habits if bored. Poodles are sensitive, bond hard to their people and tend to be more reserved with strangers than retrievers.
🎾 Exercise
45-60 minutes daily plus puzzle work. Mental exercise matters as much as physical for this breed.
✂️ Grooming
High maintenance. The curly single coat doesn't shed much but mats easily; expect brushing several times a week and professional grooming every 6-8 weeks.
🏙️ In an LA apartment
Excellent city dogs — low shedding, adaptable and highly trainable. Budget for grooming.
