Bill is a sweet guy with a lot of love to give! Bill originally arrived at Animal Haven last November along with his siblings, but was sadly returned due to no fault of his own. Understandably, Bill is a bit anxious to find himself back at the shelter, and will do best with a patient adopter who knows that it might take him a little time to settle in to his new home. He is fully pad trained, and has been enjoying his play sessions with other dogs here at the shelter! Reach out to us to learn more about Bill or set up a meet and greet! You can also stop by and meet him during our adoption hours. Adopt Bill!

Labrador Retriever

🧠 Temperament

Bill is a sweet guy with a lot of love to give!. Friendly, people-focused and famously food-motivated, which makes training straightforward.

🎾 Exercise

High needs — 60-90 minutes daily. Labs love retrieving and swimming, and an under-exercised Lab tends to get mouthy and destructive.

✂️ Grooming

Short double coat that sheds heavily year-round and more in spring and fall. Weekly brushing helps a lot.

🏙️ In a NYC apartment

Can do well in an apartment if genuinely exercised. Size and shedding are the main constraints; most are elevator- and crowd-tolerant.
