Meet Jace! This sweet Frenchie was sadly surrendered to the city shelter after becoming paralyzed in his former home. While we are having vets evaluate Jase and come up with a rehabilitation plan to ensure his life is as pain-free as possible, he will be paralyzed for life and will likely need the help of a wheelchair to get around. At this time, we know that he has some nerve damage and that he luckily is able to eliminate on his own! Jase is sweet as can be despite everything he’s been through in his short life. Interested adopters can submit an inquiry through this page to learn more about Jase’s prognosis and care. Adopt Jase!

French Bulldog

🧠 Temperament

This sweet Frenchie was sadly surrendered to the city shelter after becoming paralyzed in his former home. Comic, affectionate and people-oriented.

🎾 Exercise

Low — two or three short walks and some indoor play. They tire quickly.

✂️ Grooming

Short coat is easy, but facial folds need regular cleaning to prevent infection.

🏙️ In a NYC apartment

Near-ideal apartment dog: small, quiet and low-exercise. The serious caveat is breathing — flat faces make them dangerously heat-intolerant, so summer walks must be early, short and shaded. Expect higher vet costs.

Adoption fee $325
