After being found wandering a trailer park in New Jersey, a good samaritan brought her to a local shelter, where it became clear she needed some medical care. She's being evaluated for a few ongoing conditions, including Cushing's disease, and while she'll likely need lifelong management, she's expected to enjoy a happy, comfortable life. What really makes Lottie special is her personality. She's the perfect mix of affectionate and independent—happy to spend time by your side, but equally content doing her own thing. She loves going on walks, and stopping to sniff every interesting scent, and she's a huge foodie who will happily supervise breakfast, lunch, and dinner in hopes of earning a tasty bite. Lottie has done well with other dogs and would likely do well in a home with another animal. She's currently in a foster home with another dog and cat—and has fit right in with both. At the same time, Lottie is perfectly happy being your one-and-only and would be just as content soaking up all the love as your solo sidekick. If you're looking for a low-key, easygoing companion with a sweet spirit and just the right amount of sass, Lottie is ready to meet you!
