LOTUS

Lotus is 5 years old, 30lbs, and was pulled from the Gangneung Shelter in South Korea. Shelters in Korea are much different than we’re used to here - they’re often extremely overcrowded, underfunded, and understaffed. Dogs are constantly placed on the at-risk list simply due to space restrictions and non-stop intakes. Since arriving in the big apple, Lotus has taken her time to warm up to everything. As you can imagine, going from the hillside in Korea to a bustling city full of traffic can be a big change! Even still, this girl has conquered the streets and gains more confidence each and everyday. She’s even started to get excited for her walks! Lotus is doing amazing with her crate and house training - she’s especially keen on taking naps in her cozy crate. She’s discovered that good things (and smells) come from the kitchen and will happily supervise anyone in there. As she settles in, she’s become more affectionate and silly - she’ll follow her fosters around happily to figure out what they’re up to (and if they’re going to the kitchen without her). Because she’s over 25lbs, this lovely lady is eligible for our Jindo Journey training stipend!
