Maple is a 1 year old and 32lb Vizsla mix born and bred in NYC! We helped divert her from the shelter when a family needed to surrender her due to not having time for a pup. She is just as lovely as she looks and has quickly settled into foster care. Her foster describes her as the perfect velcro dog - at home she lives to be by your side whether or not you’re actively giving her attention. She’s still working on her crate training because of her love for *you*, so consistency and a good routine will help her immensely in the longterm! Maple is a really silly girl and seems to enjoy life as a kid would. She’ll roll over for belly rubs, happily nap in goofy positions, or chase her tail when she’s feeling particularly good. Outside Maple is a dream girl ready to explore it all with you. She can pull excitedly sometimes, but is easily redirected simply with her love for her handler. A little work with this and she’ll be trotting side by side in no time! Everyone wants to greet Miss Maple and she wants to greet everyone. She really enjoys being the center of attention in any situation. You can meet Maple and all of our lovely adoptables this Sunday! But don’t forget to submit your application via the link in our bio! You don’t have to wait for an adoption event. In-person meet-and-greets are available in the NYC area, with virtual meet-and-greets available for adopters outside NYC. Meet Us at Our Next Adoption Event Where: Culture Lab LIC, 5-25 46th Ave, Long Island City, NY 11101 When: Sat Oct 4th Time: 1-4pm Korean K9 Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit saving dogs from the Korean dog meat trade and overcrowded shelters.

Mixed / Unknown breed

This dog's breed isn't known, so here's general guidance for mixes.

🧠 Temperament

She’ll roll over for belly rubs, happily nap in goofy positions, or chase her tail when she’s feeling particularly good. Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed.

🎾 Exercise

Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.

✂️ Grooming

Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.

🏙️ In a NYC apartment

She’s still working on her crate training because of her love for *you*, so consistency and a good routine will help her immensely in the longterm!. Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
