This sweet girlie pop is 8 months old and 25lbs! We are pretty confident that she’s a Jindo, but she was rescued locally! A shelter in Teterboro, NJ notified us after an owner surrendered her - they explained her nervousness made it difficult to give her care. We are so grateful they reached out so we could help this little one. Mia is thriving in foster care after having a few days to settle into the routine. She was initially very wary of her foster and not too sure what a leash was, but with continued support and encouragement she’s done a full 180. She’s a big fan of playing with other pups and even has made an especially good friend in foster that she cuddles up with for naps. As the days go on, she’s gaining confidence, showing her spunkiness, and soliciting more affection from humans. She is also eligible for our Jindo Journey training stipend! This means Mia and her future family could receive a $300 grant towards their required training package. Mia is so much fun to work with already, and a fast learner, so we know training will be a blast. You don’t have to wait for an adoption event. In-person meet-and-greets are available in the NYC area, with virtual meet-and-greets available for adopters outside NYC. Meet Us at Our Next Adoption Event Where: Spicy Moon Bowery - 265 Bowery, NY NY When: Sat, September 19th Time: 1-5pm Korean K9 Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit saving dogs from the Korean dog meat trade and overcrowded shelters.
