Eli is a 23 lb Chihuahua mix with a gentle, sensitive heart and a deeply loving nature. He takes in the world quietly, and what he seems to want most is simply closeness—being near his person, feeling safe, and knowing he’s not alone.
He’s the kind of dog who leans in softly for pets and will happily settle in wherever you are. If you sit down, he’s likely to find his way to you, rest his head in your lap, and just stay there—still, content, and completely at ease. Eli doesn’t ask for much. A kind hand, a calm presence, and a little reassurance mean everything to him.
He is potty trained, leash trained and we are working on crate training. But, he hasnt shown to be destructive when left alone.
Grateful for every bit of attention he receives, Eli offers something just as special in return: quiet companionship and a steady, loving presence that asks only to be close.
Bold and deeply bonded to one or two people. Chihuahuas are often wary of strangers and can be snappy if they were never taught that hands are safe — early gentle socialization matters.
Low — short walks and indoor play are plenty.
Extremely apartment-friendly and easy to carry on the subway. They get cold fast and need a sweater most of the winter.
