Estelle was abandoned, living on the streets, quietly navigating a world that hadn’t been kind to her. By the time we were alerted to her, she was scared, shut down, and unsure if people could be trusted. But beneath that timid exterior was a gentle, beautiful soul just waiting for someone to show her that she was finally safe.
Every day, she grows a little braver. The shy girl who once kept her distance is beginning to play, seek affection, and let her happy, fun-loving personality shine through. Watching her blossom has been nothing short of magical. She greets each new kindness with gratitude, each new experience with courage, and every small victory reminds us just how resilient she truly is.
Estelle is crate trained, and working on her leash skills and potty training. She absolutely adores small dogs and seems to trust them instinctively. They help bring out her playful side, and there’s nothing she loves more than running, playing, and following her little dog friends around. A home with another friendly small dog would be a wonderful fit for her as she continues to build her confidence.
Intelligent, intensely loyal and strongly bonded to their person — Dobermans are often described as velcro dogs. They are naturally alert and watchful, which needs to be channeled through early socialization rather than suppressed.
High — 60-90 minutes daily plus training. A bored Doberman is an anxious Doberman.
Their size and reputation trigger breed restrictions in many buildings — check your lease before falling in love. Otherwise they are clean, quiet indoors and settle well.
