Sesame is an approximately 2–3-year-old Terrier/Poodle mix with the sweetest soul. He was found as a stray and ended up at the Delano shelter, where he arrived with a severely matted, overgrown coat. Inside the home, Sesame is incredibly calm, quiet, and endlessly loving. He has such a gentle, grateful nature that shines through in every cuddle and soft glance. He’s also a goofy little guy — a bit awkward as he learns and gains confidence, but always happy and playful. He gets random bursts of zoomies throughout the day, although the second you try to record them, he notices the phone and immediately stops. Outside, we’re still helping Sesame build his confidence on leash. He can be reactive when he’s startled or unsure of his surroundings, so he does best with a calm, patient handler who can help him feel safe. He is good with smaller dogs and is finding his footing with larger dogs. When they are calm and give him a little time, he adapts quickly. Ultimately, Sesame is just a sweet little guy looking for someone who will give him the patience, stability, and love he deserves. We have a feeling that once he knows he’s safe, he’ll be the most wonderful little companion.

He gets random bursts of zoomies throughout the day, although the second you try to record them, he notices the phone and immediately stops. Moderate to high, and mental more than physical — 45-60 minutes plus digging, sniffing or puzzle outlets.
