A NYC estimate for a dog this size and coat. Excludes the adoption fee and anything unexpected.
Fully grown at about 37 lbs.
We’ve been calling Bunny, Curly, due to his curly tail and man is Curls a silly boy! He wants to say hi to everyone on the street, loves to gently tug of war with toys inside, and loves to sleep in his donut bed. He gives lots of kisses, and we’re working on redirecting his mouthy, teethful, kisses. He loves the zoomies and his whole tush wiggles when he sees another dog and wants to play (he’ll let you know vocally with his funky noises). Bunny is approximately 1y 6m 7d old and is fully grown at 37 pounds. They are microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate medical care. Their breed is unknown as we have not had a DNA test done. Although our dogs are listed as unknown breed, buildings with specific dog restrictions typically enforce their rules based on what breeds a dog appears to resemble. It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. This dog is available for adoption through Muddy Paws Rescue. If you're interested in adopting, the first thing you should do is begin the registration process at www.muddypawsrescue.org. If you are already a registered adopter with Muddy Paws Rescue, please email us at adoptionmeetings@muddypawsrescue.org.
This dog's breed isn't known, so here's general guidance for mixes.
🧠 Temperament
Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed. The rescue's write-up is the best guide.
🎾 Exercise
He loves the zoomies and his whole tush wiggles when he sees another dog and wants to play (he’ll let you know vocally with his funky noises). Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.
✂️ Grooming
Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
He wants to say hi to everyone on the street, loves to gently tug of war with toys inside, and loves to sleep in his donut bed. Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
