About 10 lbs now and still growing — this breed usually reaches 30–45 lbs.
My name is Jahfara and I am a puppy who's ready to explore the world! I've been told that I'm such a social puppy because I love interacting with strangers and all humans. I love asking for scratches and cuddles from humans. What can I say? I love the attention! I get so excited around humans, my tail starts wagging uncontrollable. Like look at the video in my bio. Not only do I love receiving love (scratches and cuddles) from humans, I also love giving love to humans. You won't be able to escape my kisses! And my fav thing? Well it’s walking outside. I LOVE walking outside and exploring the world. Overall, I'm a very loveable puppy who’s ready to share my love with my furever family. Will you be my furever family? Jahfara is approximately 0y 7m 20d old and may be 10 to 16 pounds when fully grown. They are microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate medical care. Their breed is unknown as we have not had a DNA test done. Although our dogs are listed as unknown breed, buildings with specific dog restrictions typically enforce their rules based on what breeds a dog appears to resemble. It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. This dog is available for adoption through Muddy Paws Rescue. If you're interested in adopting, the first thing you should do is begin the registration process at www.muddypawsrescue.org. If you are already a registered adopter with Muddy Paws Rescue, please email us at adoptionmeetings@muddypawsrescue.org.
This dog's breed isn't known, so here's general guidance for mixes.
🧠 Temperament
I've been told that I'm such a social puppy because I love interacting with strangers and all humans. Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed.
🎾 Exercise
Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.
✂️ Grooming
Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
