About 14 lbs now and still growing — this breed usually reaches 30–45 lbs.
Loretta is a sweet, well-mannered girl with a little bit of sophistication! She’s a great listener and has learned to entertain herself, especially when she has a favorite toy to keep her busy. One of the cutest things about Loretta is how she plays—she’ll often sit with her little paws crossed while enjoying her toys, as if she’s the most proper puppy in the room! Loretta is affectionate and loves giving kisses and cuddling with her people, but she also appreciates having her own space when she’s happily occupied with a toy. She’s a wonderful balance of loving and independent and is learning how to enjoy both companionship and her own time. With her sweet personality, good listening skills, and undeniably classy demeanor, Loretta is sure to make someone a very special companion. 💕 Loretta is approximately 0y 2m 7d old and may be 75 to 85 pounds when fully grown. They are microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate medical care. Their breed is unknown as we have not had a DNA test done. Although our dogs are listed as unknown breed, buildings with specific dog restrictions typically enforce their rules based on what breeds a dog appears to resemble. It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. This dog is available for adoption through Muddy Paws Rescue. If you're interested in adopting, the first thing you should do is begin the registration process at www.muddypawsrescue.org. 🧠 Temperament
She’s a wonderful balance of loving and independent and is learning how to enjoy both companionship and her own time. Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed.
🎾 Exercise
Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.
✂️ Grooming
Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
