Luna is truly one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet. She is a total cuddle bug and the perfect adventure buddy, and really just wants to be wherever her people are. She loves everyone she meets and will happily try to say hi to anyone who even looks in her direction on the street. At home, Luna has definitely got some mama energy. She knows exactly how to tell her younger foster brother when he is being annoying, but is also amazing at playing with him and is always happy to join in when it’s time to play. She has completely amazed us with how calm she is around the cats. They swirl around her, walk right past her, and she is completely unphased. Luna is also incredibly smart and very food motivated. She is picking up commands so quickly and would probably do just about anything for some peanut butter. She is doing amazing with going to the bathroom outside and has been such an easy girl to have around. Her favorite things are belly rubs, being included in whatever you’re doing, and getting as much love as possible. She really is the kind of dog who just wants to be your best friend. Luna is approximately 2y 0m 18d old and is fully grown at 50 pounds. They are microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate medical care. Their breed is unknown as we have not had a DNA test done. Although our dogs are listed as unknown breed, buildings with specific dog restrictions typically enforce their rules based on what breeds a dog appears to resemble. It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. This dog is available for adoption through Muddy Paws Rescue. If you're interested in adopting, the first thing you should do is begin the registration process at www.muddypawsrescue.org. Mixed / Unknown breed

This dog's breed isn't known, so here's general guidance for mixes.

🧠 Temperament

She has completely amazed us with how calm she is around the cats. Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed.

🎾 Exercise

They swirl around her, walk right past her, and she is completely unphased. Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.

✂️ Grooming

Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.

🏙️ In a NYC apartment

She loves everyone she meets and will happily try to say hi to anyone who even looks in her direction on the street. Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
