Reba

Reba is new to New York and is adapting to the city wonderfully! She loves to stay close to her people and nap, and will take all the pets you are willing to give her! She is a bit timid at first, but will be your best friend once she gets comfortable. She is a bit hesitant to go into the crate, but she usually calms down after ~10 minutes. She is curious but not reactive to people or other dogs while walking. She is generally pretty good about staying close to you while on the leash, but she does weave around a bit to get those extra steps! We are still working with housetraining with her, but she has been a fast learner these first couple days and we are sure she will be able to pick that up also. She is not very food driven, and is more motivated by human foods such as cheese and peanut butter over dog treats. Reba is relatively low energy, and prefers laying down and getting pets over long walks. She will make the perfect companion to someone who wants a loving lapdog to spend their time with! Reba is approximately 5y 0m 10d old and is fully grown at 35 pounds. They are microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate medical care. Their breed is unknown as we have not had a DNA test done. Although our dogs are listed as unknown breed, buildings with specific dog restrictions typically enforce their rules based on what breeds a dog appears to resemble. It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. This dog is available for adoption through Muddy Paws Rescue.
