Surfer

Hi, I'm Surfer! I am the goodest boy on earth and all I want is to be very close to my people, at all times. I looooooove food, I could be eating all day, and I will beg for anything my foster parents eat. Sometimes I get too excited and jump on people's laps while they are eating but I am slowly learning that not everyone might love that, so now I have learned that sitting by the table and crying while giving them sad puppy eyes is also a way of showing them I really, really, REALLY want whatever they are eating. During the day I am super chill, I mainly sleep on the couch while my foster mom works from home. I love that she works from home because that means I am never alone, I am still working on my independence when left by myself, I have big feelings that I am still trying to manage. My foster mom gives me a pill if she has to leave the house and that makes me relax. I am still trying to learn that someone will always come back when they leave through the door. As I was saying, I like to sleep on the couch, I have been called a couch potato before, I am not sure what that means. As soon as I wake up my foster parents take me on a quick walk, I pee right away and then I quickly want to go back home because I can not wait for my breakfast! After that, it is time for my first nap of they day, I honesly love to sleep. I cuddle with my foster mom on the couch, I love to be on top of my people and rest my head on them, it makes me feel safe, so I really enjoy when she takes work calls from the couch. I also like to follow my people around the house, I just want to be ready if they need some help with anything, like doing laundry, making the bed, you know I just like being helpful and being very close to them. I speciall love to help in the kitchen while my humans cook because I love how everything smells and sometimes they give me some treats. And then.... it is time for my favorite part of the day MY LONG WALK, I get so excited, my foster mom takes me on an hour-long walk to Central Park where I get to smell so many things and explore the world. She says I am good on the leash for the most part, I just pull a little bit if there is something that I need to immediately smell but can you blame me? I am also living life for the first time, and I am just so excited! I am super friendly with people and dogs and I cry when I am not able to say hi to everyone we see on the street! I sometimes get scared of very loud noises but I pretty good overall, I am a city boy, you know? My foster mom has been taking me on subway runs just so I can get used to them, so far it has been going really well. I get so many treats on the train and she always says "good boy, Surfer". The rest of the afternoon/evening I just sleep and cuddle with my humans on the couch, like I was saying, it is my absolute favorite thing to do, I just like to make sure my people know how much I love them. Sometimes I get overly excited and I just want to express my love by kissing and being on top of them but I also understand what "no" means, I get it, I can be too affectionate at times. Also, one thing about me, I don't like when one of my foster parents go into rooms and close doors, I need to be able to see everyone at all times or I'll cry. I'm still working on this and I believe I am getting better. Around 8pm I get fed my delicious dinner that I finish in a millisecond, have I mentioned I LOVE food? After that I will cuddle and watch TV with my humans before my last walk of the day where I do a quick pee and I immediately want to go back in to keep cuddling on the couch. At night I sleep in my crate, I am not going to lie, I would much rather sleep on bed with my humans, and I try to convince them every night, but as soon as I am told that I need to go in my crate I understand it and I go in. I will cry and make the cutest sounds for a minute but then I fall asleep very fast and I don't move until my foster mom wakes up, I just love to sleep! Surfer is a
