A NYC estimate for a dog this size and coat. Excludes the adoption fee and anything unexpected.
Fully grown at about 20 lbs.
Teddy is truly the sweetest distinguished gentleman in the world. Teddy is a happy, affectionate, and sweet soul. With all of his energy and enthusiasm for walks, you can hardly tell he is almost 11! Teddy is an absolute joy to be around. Whether he is dramatically flopping over for belly rubs or greeting you with excited spins, Teddy will absolutely capture your heart. Teddy is approximately 10y 7m 13d old and is fully grown at 20.2 pounds. They are microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate medical care. Their breed is unknown as we have not had a DNA test done. Although our dogs are listed as unknown breed, buildings with specific dog restrictions typically enforce their rules based on what breeds a dog appears to resemble. It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. This dog is available for adoption through Muddy Paws Rescue. If you're interested in adopting, the first thing you should do is begin the registration process at www.muddypawsrescue.org. If you are already a registered adopter with Muddy Paws Rescue, please email us at adoptionmeetings@muddypawsrescue.org.
This dog's breed isn't known, so here's general guidance for mixes.
🧠 Temperament
Teddy is a happy, affectionate, and sweet soul. Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed.
🎾 Exercise
With all of his energy and enthusiasm for walks, you can hardly tell he is almost 11!. Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.
✂️ Grooming
Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
