Meet Forest! There's a whole world waiting for this boy to explore, and we hope his next adventure leads him straight to a forever home. Forest was rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation in Georgia, and now he deserves the chance to leave that difficult chapter behind. Whether it's discovering new favorite toys, enjoying cozy afternoons, or simply having a family to call his own, Forest has so much life ahead of him. Ready to help him turn the page? Every bio is just a snapshot of the animal. For more information about Forest and to learn if he may be the right fit for your home, please reach out to our Adoptions Team. All dogs will be altered, microchipped, and receive age-appropriate vaccines prior to adoption. Interested in fostering or adopting? Need more info on this dog? 🧠 Temperament
Mixed-breed dogs pull traits from several lines, which often means fewer breed-linked health problems and a temperament best judged by meeting the dog. What the foster or shelter observed day to day is far more predictive than any breed guess.
🎾 Exercise
Depends on the individual. A daily walk plus play is the baseline; ask the foster how the dog behaves after a quiet day.
✂️ Grooming
Varies with coat type. Short coats need little; longer or double coats need regular brushing.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
Mixes are often excellent city dogs. Building breed restrictions are usually enforced on what a dog looks like, so ask the rescue how the dog is typically identified.
