Meet Meleys Meleys is one of five little dragons who came to us from a county shelter in Georgia after being dropped off in horrible conditions at just six weeks old. These babies were battling parvo, a deadly and relentless but preventable virus, and the shelter simply did not have the resources to provide the lifesaving medical care they needed. Their lives were at risk, and we couldn’t let them suffer. Meleys is a tiny girl who deserves a very big future. After such a difficult beginning, we want her life to be filled with all the things a puppy should know: a soft place to sleep, loving people to call her own, and a family who will make sure she always feels safe. There is something so special about knowing that a little life who once needed someone to fight for her is now waiting for someone to love her forever. Meleys has so much ahead of her, and we can’t wait to see her discover it all. Please consider opening your heart and home to this little dragon. 🧠 Temperament
After such a difficult beginning, we want her life to be filled with all the things a puppy should know: a soft place to sleep, loving people to call…. Mixed-breed dogs pull traits from several lines, which often means fewer breed-linked health problems and a temperament best judged by meeting the dog.
🎾 Exercise
Depends on the individual. A daily walk plus play is the baseline; ask the foster how the dog behaves after a quiet day.
✂️ Grooming
Varies with coat type. Short coats need little; longer or double coats need regular brushing.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
Mixes are often excellent city dogs. Building breed restrictions are usually enforced on what a dog looks like, so ask the rescue how the dog is typically identified.
