SCOTTIE, a handsome 4 month old, 29 lb Labrador/Weimaraner mix with a gorgeous silver coat! He’s a little on the skinny side and working on gaining some weight, but there’s already so much to love about this sweet boy. Scottie is friendly with people, dogs, and cats, and seems to settle easily into new routines. He loves cuddles and sniff-filled walks around the neighborhood, taking in all the exciting things puppy life has to offer. He’s neutered, has completed his puppy vaccines, and can’t wait to join you for adventures and snuggle up to you afterward! Apply to adopt Scottie at rescuecity.nyc/adopt.
🧠 Temperament
He’s a little on the skinny side and working on gaining some weight, but there’s already so much to love about this sweet boy. Friendly, people-focused and famously food-motivated, which makes training straightforward.
🎾 Exercise
He loves cuddles and sniff-filled walks around the neighborhood, taking in all the exciting things puppy life has to offer. High needs — 60-90 minutes daily.
✂️ Grooming
Short double coat that sheds heavily year-round and more in spring and fall. Weekly brushing helps a lot.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
Can do well in an apartment if genuinely exercised. Size and shedding are the main constraints; most are elevator- and crowd-tolerant.
