Chloe is a 10-year-old, 10-pound female terrier mix from New York City! Chloe is a sweet, gentle, and loving pup. She has adjusted very well to her time in the city. Chloe enjoys walks, playing fetch, and taking naps. She is doing well understanding “sit” and working on other obedience training. During her time with her foster family, she seems to be housetrained with assistance from pee pads during longer periods without a walk. Chloe is great on a leash. She loves walks and gets excited the moment she hears the leash jingle. She even does well walking alongside a stroller and her only distractions are the occasional “treat” dropped on the sidewalk. Her forever family will need to continue working with Chloe to reinforce and advance the progress she been making. Chloe has done well being alone in the apartment. She embraces the opportunity for a good nap and greets you with a wagging tail when you come home. She loves to be cozy with her foster family and loves to play fetch. Chloe is looking for a family with any level of activity. She would be content with a quiet household or a chaotic one with young children. She appreciates downtime and active moments equally. Chloe is fine being the solo dog or having another dog in the household, but she has not been cat tested. Chloe does well with children and has enjoyed her time living with a 2 and 5-year-old in her foster family. Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, bordetella, and microchipped. Will need to be spayed/neutered upon completed medical evaluation, currently pending. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. To apply to adopt Chloe, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue. Questions: adopt@waggytailrescue.org

Mixed / Unknown breed

This dog's breed isn't known, so here's general guidance for mixes.

🧠 Temperament

Chloe is a sweet, gentle, and loving pup. Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed.

🎾 Exercise

Chloe enjoys walks, playing fetch, and taking naps. Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.

✂️ Grooming

Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.

🏙️ In a NYC apartment

Chloe has done well being alone in the apartment. Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
