Hi I'm Steve and I'm a girl! Nice to meet you and thanks for stopping by to read about me! I was rescued from a shelter in absolutely terrible condition. overweight (putting it mildly) and my lab work was alarming, not to mention a big oozing wound on my elbow from likely spending too much time laying on concrete. I was hospitalized and came out feeling so much much better! the rescue is taking very good care of me. I have cushings disease so I take medicine for that. easy breezy. I am great with other dogs and would probably be fine with a cat I just have not met one. I love food. LOVE it. diets are such a bummer but I get it-better for my health. wanna be best friends? please note All of our dogs are in private foster homes. Once you fill out an application it will be screened by our volunteer adoption team. From there, if your application looks like a good fit for the particular dog, it will be sent to the foster where you can ask all the questions you would like and schedule a meet and greet. We do not transport our dogs. If you apply from out of state we do request you come to Los Angeles to meet us and fly home in cabin or drive. www.apurposefulrescue.org
🧠 Temperament
Whip-smart, intense and endlessly driven. Australian Cattle Dogs bond hard to one person and need work; without it they herd whatever is available, including people and bikes.
🎾 Exercise
Very high — 90+ minutes plus daily training or a dog sport.
✂️ Grooming
Short weather-resistant double coat, easy but sheds seasonally.
🏙️ In an LA apartment
One of the toughest apartment breeds. Only realistic if you are genuinely active and ready to train daily.
