Izzy

Izzy 🎀 Izzy is a little more understated at first glance, but spend five minutes with her and you'll see it: a calm, steady presence who's endured a lot of change this year with real grace. She's healthy and content, settled into her foster routine, and clearly ready for a soft place to land — permanently, this time. Like her sister, Izzy has been mostly house-trained in her foster home (with the same small caveat that a new environment may mean a few early hiccups). She hasn't been cat-tested but seems like a good candidate for a multi-pet home with thoughtful introductions, and well-mannered children would likely suit her just fine. The non-negotiable for Izzy: She needs a home with another dog already in it — she's spent her whole life with her sister, Rio, as canine company and isn't looking to go it alone now. She and Rio can be adopted separately, but neither should be the only pet in the house. Izzy is available through our foster-to-adopt program only and will be arriving to NYC on Saturday, August 22. Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Negative for heartworm disease and current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies.
