Meet Stitch! 🤍
Stitch is a 6-year-old, 10.5-pound Yorkie-Maltese mix who is basically the definition of a professional cuddle bug. This little gentleman is sweet, loyal, and ridiculously lovable—the kind of dog who will politely follow you around the house like your tiny, fluffy assistant.
Rescued from the NYCACC alongside his housemate, Chloe (available soon!), Stitch has settled into apartment life with ease and has officially mastered the art of being the perfect city pup. His favorite hobbies include leisurely neighborhood strolls as if he owns the block, charming every neighbor into giving him pets, and offering the best standing hugs (yes, he stands on his back legs just to hug you 🥹).
Need a shadow? Stitch is accepting applications. Looking for the ultimate couch companion? He's already clocked in.
Stitch is a smart little guy who is eager to please and listens well. He's almost fully housetrained and continues to make great progress with his training.
He sleeps peacefully through the night in his crate and is perfectly content there, but if he had it his way, he'd be a full-time professional cuddler. Whether it's the couch, the bed, or simply lying at your feet, Stitch is happiest wherever his favorite people are.
Stitch is looking for a quiet, low-key home where he can enjoy the simple things in life. He's not the type to demand constant activity—he's happiest relaxing by your side and soaking up your company. Stitch has a funny quirk where if he can scoot under the couch or table - he will! He can be shy at first, but opens up quickly. He is living with a dog and came from a home of many animals.
If you're looking for the easiest roommate you'll ever have, Stitch just might be your perfect match.

Bold, curious and busy. Terriers were bred to hunt independently, which shows up as tenacity, a strong prey drive and a low tolerance for boredom. They are often more dog-selective than people-selective.
Moderate to high, and mental more than physical — 45-60 minutes plus digging, sniffing or puzzle outlets.
Their small size suits apartments well. Watch for barking at hallway noise and a strong interest in squirrels and rats.
