Meet Whiskey! 🥃🐾 At just 1 year old and 11 lbs, Whiskey is a tiny girl with a BIG heart! This sweet Chihuahua mix from Tijuana is the ultimate Velcro dog. If you’re looking for a little shadow who will happily follow you around and soak up all the affection you have to give, Whiskey might just be your girl ❤️ Whiskey gets along well with her resident dog friend, but she could also thrive as your one-and-only companion. She loves playing with toys, chewing on bones, and being close to her favorite people. She has bursts of puppy energy throughout the day, so she’d love a family that can keep her engaged with playtime, toys, and activities to keep her busy! She’s still finding her confidence in city life, and can be a little shy/skittish around new people or in unfamiliar environments. With time, patience, and encouragement, she’s continuing to learn that the world isn’t such a scary place. She’s also still learning the ropes when it comes to housetraining, leash walking, and basic commands & manners, so she’ll need a family excited to help her learn and grow. Whiskey can have a hard time when left alone, too, and will benefit from a family willing to work with her on building confidence and becoming more comfortable on her own. Whiskey has so much love to give and is just waiting for someone to help her blossom. In return, you’ll get a devoted little best friend who wants nothing more than to be by your side. Could Whiskey be your new shadow? 🐶💕 Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella, heartworm negative, microchipped and spayed/neutered. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. To apply for Whiskey, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue. Adoptions: adopt@waggytailrescue.org
