Mixed Breed · Korean K9 Rescue
8 months · Male · 17.5 lbs · Long Island City, NY
Foster-to-adopt. This dog is still in South Korea. Rather than meeting first, you take them home for a 7-day trial: pickup is at Korean K9's Astoria office the day their flight lands, and if it isn't a fit they ask you to keep fostering for about three weeks while they find a permanent home. Applications close 48 hours before each arrival date.
Mata is a 7-month-old Mixed breed weighing 17.6 lbs. With his puppy eyes and irresistible charm, Mata is pure sweetness wrapped in a fluffy black coat. He can't wait to find his forever home in NYC!
Mixed-breed dogs pull traits from several lines, which often means fewer breed-linked health problems and a temperament best judged by meeting the dog. What the foster or shelter observed day to day is far more predictive than any breed guess.
Depends on the individual. A daily walk plus play is the baseline; ask the foster how the dog behaves after a quiet day.
Mixes are often excellent city dogs. Building breed restrictions are usually enforced on what a dog looks like, so ask the rescue how the dog is typically identified.
