Meet Flyer, aka Flyer Puppy, The Fly Guy, Bubba or Duuude, he happily responds to them all because he’s just the happiest good boy! This big man, about 3 yrs old and 85 lbs of hunkiness, was pulled from the South LA shelter where he was declining by the minute; he’s a sensitive soul and the shelter environment was too much for him. Flyer has now been in a foster home since March and has learned that the world and humans are pretty awesome. He lives with a sassy female English bulldog and has no problem letting her rule the roost. He loves meeting other dogs and people, playing with toys, making friends at stop lights when his head his hangin out the window, going for long walks, sniffing all the things, and going to daycare where he is a staff favorite! This sweet boy does well with routine and structure. He is very smart, has a beautiful bark that he uses seldom (garbage trucks aren’t a fave), and will communicate a lot to you if you pay attention. We do not recommend a home with children under 12 as Flyer is a big dog and does not like people in his face or smothering him. Flyer needs a home where he can be set up to thrive with structure and boundaries. If this is you, please consider giving this hunk a home!

Mixed / Unknown breed

This dog's breed isn't known, so here's general guidance for mixes.

🧠 Temperament

This sweet boy does well with routine and structure. Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed.

🎾 Exercise

He loves meeting other dogs and people, playing with toys, making friends at stop lights when his head his hangin out the window, going for long…. Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.

✂️ Grooming

Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.

🏙️ In an LA apartment

He is very smart, has a beautiful bark that he uses seldom (garbage trucks aren’t a fave), and will communicate a lot to you if you pay attention. Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
