At 8 years old, Hops is proof that the sweetest love stories are still waiting to be written. This adorable senior terrier is an absolute sweetheart who just wants to be loved. He’s affectionate, gives the best kisses, and is happiest snuggled up next to his favorite person. Hops came into the shelter with a brother he adored, who has since been adopted. While we don’t know much about his past, we do know that he enjoys the company of other dogs and has taken a liking to his foster’s dog. He’s potty trained, good with adults, and seems to love just about everyone he meets. We haven’t yet tested him with children or cats, and he’s not crate trained. Hops isn’t asking for much. Just a cozy home, a little companionship, and someone who will let him be their cuddle buddy.
🧠 Temperament
He’s affectionate, gives the best kisses, and is happiest snuggled up next to his favorite person. Bold and deeply bonded to one or two people.
🎾 Exercise
Low — short walks and indoor play are plenty.
✂️ Grooming
Easy for both smooth and long coats. Dental care is the real priority; small breeds are prone to tooth disease.
🏙️ In an LA apartment
He’s potty trained, good with adults, and seems to love just about everyone he meets. Extremely apartment-friendly and easy to carry on the subway.
