Beau's journey to safety began when he was rescued alongside his sister, Cassie, and their 9-year-old kennel mate, Rufus. All three had been placed on the euthanasia list, and we simply couldn't leave them behind. Now this handsome one-year-old Cane Corso/Labrador mix is ready for the next chapter of his life—a loving forever home. Beau is a calm, gentle soul who gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is well-socialized with people. His easygoing personality makes him a joy to be around, whether he's relaxing by your side or making new friends. He is currently safe in a temporary foster home, but he urgently needs a permanent foster or, even better, a forever family to call his own. Beau is also looking for a sponsor to help cover his care while he waits for his happily ever after. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion with a heart as big as his paws, Beau is ready to meet you. Could you be the one to give him the second chance he deserves?
This dog's breed isn't known, so here's general guidance for mixes.
🧠 Temperament
Beau is a calm, gentle soul who gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is well-socialized with people. Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed.
🎾 Exercise
Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.
✂️ Grooming
Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.
🏙️ In an LA apartment
Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
