Oh hi! I'm Blondie, the sweetest girl you can imagine. Life's been a rough road for me and but I just keep moving forward. I'm doing great now thanks to the help of my foster mom, the very nice vet team at Muddy Paws Rescue, and 15/10 Foundation that offered to pay for 2 of my medications FOR LIFE! I love having an adult human by my side. I'd love to have a home where I can relax, play, and keep you company as your little blonde shadow. Even though I am a senior girl, I still have plenty of pep. I even do some zoomies and hops, especially after a bath! I love to follow my foster mom everywhere. We really enjoy going on our walks together around our quiet neighborhood. If I see a dog while I'm on a leash, I bark so they know I'm there. That's really the only thing that phases me. I might be open to sharing a home with another dog if we do a meet and greet, and we get along. I like to have cozy beds to nap in, space inside to roam around, and I'm a total chow hound - I absolutely love my food and am always looking forward to meal time! I'm looking for a loving retirement home to make my last chapter the best of my life! Blondie is approximately 13y 4m 13d old and is fully grown at 17 pounds. They are microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate medical care. Their breed is unknown as we have not had a DNA test done. Although our dogs are listed as unknown breed, buildings with specific dog restrictions typically enforce their rules based on what breeds a dog appears to resemble. It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. This dog is available for adoption through Muddy Paws Rescue. If you're interested in adopting, the first thing you should do is begin the registration process at www.muddypawsrescue.org. If you are already a registered adopter with Muddy Paws Rescue, please email us at adoptionmeetings@muddypawsrescue.org.

Mixed / Unknown breed

This dog's breed isn't known, so here's general guidance for mixes.

🧠 Temperament

I'm looking for a loving retirement home to make my last chapter the best of my life!. Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed.

🎾 Exercise

I even do some zoomies and hops, especially after a bath!. Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.

✂️ Grooming

Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.

🏙️ In a NYC apartment

If I see a dog while I'm on a leash, I bark so they know I'm there. Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
