A NYC estimate for a dog this size and coat. Excludes the adoption fee and anything unexpected.
About 6 lbs now and still growing — this breed usually reaches 30–45 lbs.
Hi, I'm Brooklyn! I'm a very outgoing puppy who loves to meet people and explore. I'm very curious about my surroundings and enjoy playing (especially with my sister Beth), cuddling and sleeping! I also love to chase my tennis ball around the house and look at myself in the mirror whenever I walk past it to make sure I'm still looking cute! I'm also happy to go on walks in my carrier so I can get some fresh air and see what NYC is all about. Brooklyn is approximately 0y 2m 9d old and may be 33 to 39 pounds when fully grown. They are microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate medical care. Their breed is unknown as we have not had a DNA test done. Although our dogs are listed as unknown breed, buildings with specific dog restrictions typically enforce their rules based on what breeds a dog appears to resemble. It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. This dog is available for adoption through Muddy Paws Rescue. If you're interested in adopting, the first thing you should do is begin the registration process at www.muddypawsrescue.org. If you are already a registered adopter with Muddy Paws Rescue, please email us at adoptionmeetings@muddypawsrescue.org.
This dog's breed isn't known, so here's general guidance for mixes.
🧠 Temperament
Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed. The rescue's write-up is the best guide.
🎾 Exercise
I'm also happy to go on walks in my carrier so I can get some fresh air and see what NYC is all about. Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.
✂️ Grooming
Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
