A NYC estimate for a dog this size and coat. Excludes the adoption fee and anything unexpected.
Fully grown at about 43 lbs.
Letty loves being around other dogs, but she loves people even more! She is incredibly loving, affectionate, and happiest when she’s surrounded by people. She enjoys playing and has a fun, playful energy, while also being great at settling down and relaxing when it’s time to unwind. She is very even-tempered and has shown no aggressive behavior. She is well house-trained and crate-trained and will voluntarily go into her crate to nap or relax. She is comfortable sleeping in her crate but also loves cuddling up and sleeping near her people when given the opportunity. Letty is very receptive to training, especially when treats are involved. She is also pretty good on walks, although she may occasionally pull when something catches her attention or she gets distracted. She can be a little startled by particularly loud vehicles, such as garbage trucks, and may sometimes prefer to head back inside afterward. Her ideal home would be one where she has plenty of companionship and affection. She would thrive in a home where she can spend lots of time around her people or potentially with another friendly pup for companionship and play. She loves being included and is happiest when she feels like part of the family. Overall, Letty is a sweet, affectionate, playful, and well-behaved pup who has so much love to give. Letty is approximately 2y 11m 13d old and is fully grown at 43 pounds. They are microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate medical care. Their breed is unknown as we have not had a DNA test done. Although our dogs are listed as unknown breed, buildings with specific dog restrictions typically enforce their rules based on what breeds a dog appears to resemble. It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. This dog is available for adoption through Muddy Paws Rescue. This dog's breed isn't known, so here's general guidance for mixes.
🧠 Temperament
She is incredibly loving, affectionate, and happiest when she’s surrounded by people. Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed.
🎾 Exercise
She is also pretty good on walks, although she may occasionally pull when something catches her attention or she gets distracted. Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.
✂️ Grooming
Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
She is well house-trained and crate-trained and will voluntarily go into her crate to nap or relax. Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
