A NYC estimate for a dog this size and coat. Excludes the adoption fee and anything unexpected.
Fully grown at about 11 lbs.
Mary Kay's little front paws turn outward, giving her the sweetest side-to-side waddle that resembles a tiny penguin on an important mission. It's impossible not to smile when you see her coming. But what she may lack in graceful movement, she more than makes up for in spirit. She has a heart far bigger than her body, greeting every person as a lifelong friend and every animal as a potential playmate. She loves with complete abandon, offering gentle nudges, enthusiastic tail wags and unwavering loyalty. Her oversized ears, penguin-like gait and delightfully quirky paws make her unforgettable, but it's her boundless kindness and joyful soul that make everyone who meets her fall in love. She may not walk in a straight line, but she has a way of walking straight into people's hearts. Mary Kay is approximately 7y 1m 6d old and is fully grown at 11 pounds. They are microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate medical care. Their breed is unknown as we have not had a DNA test done. Although our dogs are listed as unknown breed, buildings with specific dog restrictions typically enforce their rules based on what breeds a dog appears to resemble. It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. This dog is available for adoption through Muddy Paws Rescue. If you're interested in adopting, the first thing you should do is begin the registration process at www.muddypawsrescue.org. 🧠 Temperament
She loves with complete abandon, offering gentle nudges, enthusiastic tail wags and unwavering loyalty. Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed.
🎾 Exercise
She may not walk in a straight line, but she has a way of walking straight into people's hearts. Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.
✂️ Grooming
Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
