Meet Ruby! ❤️ A little gem with a big personality. Ruby may be little, but she has no shortage of sparkle! This outgoing, confident girl is always happy to make a new friend, whether it's a person, another dog, or even a toddler. She loves playing with her much bigger foster sister, exploring the city, and being part of whatever her people are doing. A true New Yorker in the making, Ruby has already taken on Central Park, the NYC Marathon, and Halloween street parties without missing a beat. Crowds and busy surroundings? No problem! She's happy as long as she's along for the adventure (although sirens are not exactly her favorite). Ruby also has an independent side. She's a superstar in her playpen, happily entertaining herself with toys and a good chew while her humans work from home. She's settling into her potty routine beautifully, sleeps well, and is learning something new every day. Whether she's playing with her foster sister, making new friends, or curling up for a nap, Ruby brings a lot of personality in a very little package. She's the kind of little gem who would make a wonderful addition to a lucky home! Ruby is approximately 0y 2m 10d old and may be 45 to 55 pounds when fully grown. They are microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate medical care. Their breed is unknown as we have not had a DNA test done. Although our dogs are listed as unknown breed, buildings with specific dog restrictions typically enforce their rules based on what breeds a dog appears to resemble. It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. This dog is available for adoption through Muddy Paws Rescue. If you're interested in adopting, the first thing you should do is begin the registration process at www.muddypawsrescue.org. If you are already a registered adopter with Muddy Paws Rescue, please email us at adoptionmeetings@muddypawsrescue.org.

This outgoing, confident girl is always happy to make a new friend, whether it's a person, another dog, or even a toddler. Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed.
🎾 Exercise
Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.
✂️ Grooming
Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
She loves playing with her much bigger foster sister, exploring the city, and being part of whatever her people are doing. Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
