About 17 lbs now and still growing — this breed usually reaches 30–45 lbs.
Hello! My name is Dobby and I am ready for my forever home! I like play with my toys, snuggle, and learn new things. I have only been out of the shelter for a couple days and I’m doing fantastic with potty training! I almost make it every time on the potty pads and I’m learning to go outside too! My foster parents say I’m a super quick learner, I can even sit on command and I am learning “wait” too! If you are looking for the cutest puppy, has lots of energy and wants to play with me, and has patience as I learn life outside of the shelter, I think we are the perfect match! Dobby is approximately 0y 4m 29d old and is fully grown at 17 pounds. They are microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate medical care. Their breed is unknown as we have not had a DNA test done. Although our dogs are listed as unknown breed, buildings with specific dog restrictions typically enforce their rules based on what breeds a dog appears to resemble. It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. This dog is available for adoption through Muddy Paws Rescue. If you're interested in adopting, the first thing you should do is begin the registration process at www.muddypawsrescue.org. If you are already a registered adopter with Muddy Paws Rescue, please email us at adoptionmeetings@muddypawsrescue.org.
This dog's breed isn't known, so here's general guidance for mixes.
🧠 Temperament
Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed. The rescue's write-up is the best guide.
🎾 Exercise
Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.
✂️ Grooming
Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
I have only been out of the shelter for a couple days and I’m doing fantastic with potty training!. Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
