Meet Trixie, a petite but hardy 7-year-old gal with a cute bobtail, soft brown eyes, and a sweet powdered face. Trixie is social with both people and other dogs and enjoys saying hello to new friends she meets on walks. She loves being around her people and has a gentle, polite way of asking for affection—often coming over and nuzzling you or offering a paw. Trixie is a perfect balance -- she is active outdoors but loves to get cozy for a calm afternoon. Trixie enjoys exploring which may make her the perfect companion for someone who enjoys hiking, nature walks, and other outdoor adventures. Trixie can be a little cautious when faced with unfamiliar or unexpected experiences and does best with calm encouragement, patience, and positive reinforcement. Trixie is happiest walking in peaceful, low-traffic residential areas or grassy spaces. She has successfully walked in Manhattan when needed, but clearly prefers quieter surroundings. She thrives with someone who will give her the space to take things at her own pace while helping her discover that new experiences can be safe and rewarding. Trixie is a total gem—a little lady with a soft heart and so much love to give. She doesn’t ask for much, but once she trusts you, she gives her affection wholeheartedly. Trixie is approximately 7y 0m 10d old and is fully grown at 27 pounds. They are microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate medical care. Their breed is unknown as we have not had a DNA test done. Although our dogs are listed as unknown breed, buildings with specific dog restrictions typically enforce their rules based on what breeds a dog appears to resemble.
