A NYC estimate for a dog this size and coat. Excludes the adoption fee and anything unexpected.
About 10 lbs now and still growing — this breed usually reaches 30–45 lbs.
Hi, I’m the new girl in town! I’ve been showing my foster family what I’m all about, and let me tell you, I know how to have a good time. I love wrestling with my foster brother Shadow, going on walks with him, and following his lead. We make a pretty good team. I’m a big fan of playtime, snuggles, and a good nap. I smile a LOT, I’m not much of a barker, and I’m just as happy hanging out with my people as I am getting into a wrestling match. City life has a lot going on, and I’m learning the ropes. Every day, I get a little more comfortable and a little more confident. I’d love a home with another friendly dog to play with and keep me company. I’m not really a fan of being left alone, because life is better when you have someone around. So, if you’re looking for a happy, playful, smiley girl who’s equal parts fun and snuggles, I might just be your girl. Yammy is approximately 0y 3m 6d old and may be 37 to 45 pounds when fully grown. They are microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate medical care. Their breed is unknown as we have not had a DNA test done. Although our dogs are listed as unknown breed, buildings with specific dog restrictions typically enforce their rules based on what breeds a dog appears to resemble. It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. This dog is available for adoption through Muddy Paws Rescue. If you're interested in adopting, the first thing you should do is begin the registration process at www.muddypawsrescue.org. If you are already a registered adopter with Muddy Paws Rescue, please email us at adoptionmeetings@muddypawsrescue.org.
This dog's breed isn't known, so here's general guidance for mixes.
🧠 Temperament
Every day, I get a little more comfortable and a little more confident. Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed.
🎾 Exercise
I love wrestling with my foster brother Shadow, going on walks with him, and following his lead. Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.
✂️ Grooming
Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
City life has a lot going on, and I’m learning the ropes. Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
