Alexa is the spunky, lovable pup who refused to let being dumped in Mississippi dull her sparkle. She’s curious, social, and always excited to meet new humans. Alexa has a joyful energy that makes everyone smile, and she can’t wait to share that joy with a family of her own. If you’re looking for a pup who’s full of heart and ready for adventure, Alexa is your girl. All dogs will be altered, microchipped, and receive age-appropriate vaccines prior to adoption. Please note that the listed location for this dog may not be accurate due to technical limitations of this database and we have transportation options available within 6 hours of NYC (so don't let location hold you back)! Labrador Retriever

🧠 Temperament

She’s curious, social, and always excited to meet new humans. Friendly, people-focused and famously food-motivated, which makes training straightforward.

🎾 Exercise

High needs — 60-90 minutes daily. Labs love retrieving and swimming, and an under-exercised Lab tends to get mouthy and destructive.

✂️ Grooming

Short double coat that sheds heavily year-round and more in spring and fall. Weekly brushing helps a lot.

🏙️ In a NYC apartment

Can do well in an apartment if genuinely exercised. Size and shedding are the main constraints; most are elevator- and crowd-tolerant.

Adoption fee $200
