Meet Brie Elle Brie is a beautiful mama who has already given everything she had to her babies. Now it is her turn to be cherished. Brie was surrendered to a county shelter in Georgia while she was in labor. In the middle of a loud and unfamiliar shelter, with nowhere safe or comfortable to give birth, Brie delivered two adorable little babies right there on the shelter floor. It is heartbreaking to imagine what this sweet mama must have been feeling. She should have had a warm, quiet place to give birth, someone caring for her, and a family making sure she was safe. Instead, she found herself bringing her babies into the world in a county shelter. But Brie was a mama through it all. She cared for her little ones and did what she could to keep them safe. And now, after everything she has been through, we want something different for her. Brie deserves to be cherished. She deserves a soft bed, gentle hands, a safe home, and someone who will look at this beautiful girl and realize just how special she is. She has spent so much of her life giving to others. Now we want her to have a family who will give everything back to her. Her babies may have needed their mama, but Brie needs someone to be her family, too. Please consider opening your heart and home to this incredible girl. Brie has been a mama long enough. Now it is her turn to be someone's baby. Please remember that adoption bios are only a snapshot of each animal. They are meant to give you a glimpse into their personality and story, but there is so much more to learn. Please reach out to our Adoption Team for additional information about Brie and to learn if she may be the right fit for your home. All dogs will be altered, microchipped, and receive age-appropriate vaccines prior to adoption. Interested in fostering or adopting? Need more info on this dog? 🧠 Temperament
It is heartbreaking to imagine what this sweet mama must have been feeling. Mixed-breed dogs pull traits from several lines, which often means fewer breed-linked health problems and a temperament best judged by meeting the dog.
🎾 Exercise
Depends on the individual. A daily walk plus play is the baseline; ask the foster how the dog behaves after a quiet day.
✂️ Grooming
Varies with coat type. Short coats need little; longer or double coats need regular brushing.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
She should have had a warm, quiet place to give birth, someone caring for her, and a family making sure she was safe. Mixes are often excellent city dogs.
