A NYC estimate for a dog this size and coat. Excludes the adoption fee and anything unexpected.
Meet Wesley Wesley is a beautiful boy who has already been through a nightmare, but his story does not have to end with what happened to him. Wesley was found with Winston and Willow after the three dogs were abandoned together in a carrier outside during a Nor’easter in New York. While the storm brought brutal conditions, these three innocent dogs were left outside with nowhere safe to escape and no one there to care for them. When they were rescued, they were in heartbreaking condition. Their hair was severely matted, they were suffering from skin infections, and they had maggots. They had clearly been neglected, and it is difficult to imagine the pain and fear they experienced before someone finally came to their aid. Wesley survived. And now, he deserves so much more than survival. He deserves a life where he never has to wonder if someone will come for him. A life with a warm bed, a safe home, loving people, and the comfort of knowing he is finally cared for. We cannot erase the night Wesley spent outside in that storm, but we can give him a future that looks nothing like his past. Please consider opening your heart and home to this special boy. Wesley has already weathered one terrible storm. Now he deserves to spend the rest of his life surrounded by love. Please remember that adoption bios are only a snapshot of each animal. They are meant to give you a glimpse into their personality and story, but there is so much more to learn. Please reach out to our Adoption Team for additional information about Wesley and to learn if he may be the right fit for your home. All dogs will be altered, microchipped, and receive age-appropriate vaccines prior to adoption. 🧠 Temperament
A life with a warm bed, a safe home, loving people, and the comfort of knowing he is finally cared for. Mixed-breed dogs pull traits from several lines, which often means fewer breed-linked health problems and a temperament best judged by meeting the dog.
🎾 Exercise
Depends on the individual. A daily walk plus play is the baseline; ask the foster how the dog behaves after a quiet day.
✂️ Grooming
Varies with coat type. Short coats need little; longer or double coats need regular brushing.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
Mixes are often excellent city dogs. Building breed restrictions are usually enforced on what a dog looks like, so ask the rescue how the dog is typically identified.
