ROONEY NEEDS A LONG TERM FOSTER! Rescue covers expenses, including food, supplies and veterinary care. Say hi to Rooney! This handsome Blue Heeler is about two years old, and has the sweetest, mellow personality. He's great with dogs, kids and even cats! He's truly an all-around good boy. Rooney is neutered and up to date with vaccinations. We are looking for a foster (or adopter) for Rooney who deserves a calm, loving place to land. He is a mellow, affectionate boy who gets along well with other dogs and loves being around people. He does have mild absence seizures and is on medication to help manage them. Occasionally he will have brief episodes where he stares off into space for a short time, but otherwise he is happy and doing well. He’s a gentle soul who really just wants comfort, stability, and someone to make him feel safe and loved. We are hoping to find a foster who can give him a peaceful environment while he continues to thrive. Please reach out if you might be able to help or share this post to help us find the right person for him. All foster expenses covered (food, medical) If you are interested in meeting/fostering/adopting Rooney reach out here or please go to the rescue's website and fill out either the foster application or the adoption application (whichever one you are interested in). Then, send completed form via email or fax to: E-mail: Jennifer@pryorsplanet.com Fax: 818-905-1564 Tel: 818-503-5759 Serious inquiries only. You must adopt in person. We do not ship dogs.
This dog's breed isn't known, so here's general guidance for mixes.
🧠 Temperament
He is a mellow, affectionate boy who gets along well with other dogs and loves being around people. Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed.
🎾 Exercise
Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.
✂️ Grooming
Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.
🏙️ In an LA apartment
Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
