I'm adorable. Like... REALLY ADORABLE. If dogs were adopted based entirely on looks, you'd probably already be filling out my paperwork. BUT WAIT. Please remove your eyes from my beautiful little face for approximately thirty seconds because we need to discuss something important. I'M A HUSKY MIX. And that means you are not adopting a decorative throw pillow. I need to DO THINGS. Walk. Run. Train. Explore. Use my brain. Run some more. Wonder if perhaps we should run again. YES. LET'S RUN AGAIN. I'm a sweet girl with tons of potential, but I'm going to need a family prepared to put actual time and effort into raising me. And by exercise, I don't mean: "Keelut went outside and peed. She's probably tired now." Ma'am. I AM NOT TIRED. I need meaningful daily exercise, training, mental stimulation, structure, and consistency as I grow. And here's the really important part: It can't only happen when the weather is nice. Cold? Let's go. Cloudy? Let's go. Drizzling? WHERE'S MY LEASH? You don't particularly feel like getting off the couch today? That's unfortunate. I STILL HAVE LEGS. ?? I'm looking for an active family who understands what they're signing up for and genuinely WANTS the lifestyle that comes with an energetic dog. Because when my needs are met? I'm going to have every opportunity to grow into an absolutely fantastic companion. I'm gorgeous. I'm sweet. I'm smart. I'm full of potential. But please don't adopt me because you fell in love with my face. FALL IN LOVE WITH THE WHOLE DOG. Keelut is spayed, dewormed, microchipped and is up to date with vaccines. Her adoption fee is $500.00, plus $8.50 for the dog license if you are a resident of NYC. Keelut will also get one free exam with one of our participating veterinarians within 30 days of his adoption. One of the harder city breeds: vocal, high-energy, heat-sensitive and rarely reliable off leash. Needs an owner ready to run in the cold.
