Venice is the smallest of the SoCal Beach Litter and the only boy, and from the moment he arrived in his foster home it was clear he had not gotten the memo about either of those things. He is 11 weeks old, a full Chihuahua, white from nose to tail, with one ear standing at full attention and one still working on it. His days have a rhythm: wake up, climb his foster's leg to get onto the couch because stairs are for dogs with longer legs, curl up next to her for the morning nap, and then follow her from room to room conducting what can only be described as quality control on her day. He prances through all of it like a little reindeer, pausing to cover anyone within reach in kisses, and when the day is done he is back in your lap, settled and warm and completely content. He does well on his own when he needs to, but given the choice he would like to be wherever you are, preferably on the couch and in his fancy collar, because he has standards. There is a cat in his foster home and Venice has opinions about it. At 11 weeks and barely a handful of pounds, that is completely fair. A home with a cat-savvy dog or a patient cat and a slow introduction plan would set everyone up well. He would do best in a home with older kids who understand how small he is. At the smallest of an already tiny litter, a home with children under 10 would not be the right fit. Venice is looking for someone who wants a puppy that brings the party and then falls asleep on you afterward. He will cover you in kisses first, just so you know what you are signing up for. Chihuahua

🧠 Temperament

Bold and deeply bonded to one or two people. Chihuahuas are often wary of strangers and can be snappy if they were never taught that hands are safe — early gentle socialization matters.

🎾 Exercise

Low — short walks and indoor play are plenty.

✂️ Grooming

Easy for both smooth and long coats. Dental care is the real priority; small breeds are prone to tooth disease.

🏙️ In an LA apartment

Extremely apartment-friendly and easy to carry on the subway. They get cold fast and need a sweater most of the winter.
