*SEEKING A FOSTER-TO-ADOPT* Looking to add a stellar new star to your galaxy? ✨ Meet Nova! ✈️ Nova is arriving to NYC on Tuesday, October 20; she will need pick-up from Grand Central Station in Midtown (E 42nd Street) in the early to mid-afternoon hours. By applying for Nova, you can participate in our foster / foster-to-adopt program! Nova is a 3-year-old, 18-pound Pug mix who has been described simply as “out of this world.” While we’re still getting to know her, one thing is clear—this glowing mama has that classic pug face, undeniable charm, and a heart as big as the night sky. She’s making her cross-country journey all the way from San Diego, California to the East Coast to start her next chapter—and her daughter, Brooke, will be making the trek soon too! If you’re looking for a mellow, affectionate companion who will happily orbit around you for love and attention, Nova may be your cosmic match. Nova will likely need some level of house / leash / crate training. She is known to be dog friendly. No additional photos or information are available at this time. Nova will benefit from the company of another dog in the home! Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella, heartworm negative, microchipped and spayed. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. To apply for Nova, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue. Adoptions: adopt@waggytailrescue.org
🧠 Temperament
If you’re looking for a mellow, affectionate companion who will happily orbit around you for love and attention, Nova may be your cosmic match. Mixed-breed dogs pull traits from several lines, which often means fewer breed-linked health problems and a temperament best judged by meeting the dog.
🎾 Exercise
We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. Depends on the individual.
✂️ Grooming
Varies with coat type. Short coats need little; longer or double coats need regular brushing.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
Nova will likely need some level of house / leash / crate training. Mixes are often excellent city dogs.
