This 4-year-old, 9-lb Chihuahua mix is sweet, silly, and searching for her family! We rescued Chive from an overcrowded LA city shelter, where she arrived with a treatable skin condition called Demodex mange. She has since made a full recovery and is thriving in her foster home! Chive loves people and has the cutest little spinny zoomies when she gets excited. She’s a social girl who coexists well with other pups! Her favorite hobbies are sunbathing, being held by her humans, and going for a leisurely stroll. As she continues to decompress in her foster home, we’re learning more about her preferences, but we think she’ll do great in a loving home that gives her patience, comfort, and lots of snuggles. If you’re looking for a tiny companion with a big personality, Chive might be your dog!

Chive loves people and has the cutest little spinny zoomies when she gets excited. Low — short walks and indoor play are plenty.

Easy for both smooth and long coats. Dental care is the real priority; small breeds are prone to tooth disease.
