Meet little angel Athena! If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal, cuddly companion, you’ve come to the right place. Athena may be shy at first, but she warms up to her people very quickly and then won’t want to leave your side. She’ll follow you into every room, wanting to know what you’re up to and how she can help. She’s an inquisitive and curious pup, always excited to go outside and explore the world. She doesn’t seem to be afraid of anything (loud noises, bikes, sirens, etc.), just curious! She’s still learning how to not pull at the leash on her walks (she’s very excited to lead the way), and how to tackle going up the stairs, but with time and patience she’ll get it right. She loves attention in any form - from couch cuddles, face licks, and playing with her favorite toys, but she’s just as happy entertaining herself or just being near you. It’s hard to wrap up this precious puppy in just a few words, but she’s guaranteed to bring pure joy, laughter, and love into your home. Athena is approximately 0y 7m 29d old and may be 40 to 50 pounds when fully grown. They are microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate medical care. Their breed is unknown as we have not had a DNA test done. Although our dogs are listed as unknown breed, buildings with specific dog restrictions typically enforce their rules based on what breeds a dog appears to resemble. It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. This dog is available for adoption through Muddy Paws Rescue. If you're interested in adopting, the first thing you should do is begin the registration process at www.muddypawsrescue.org. 🏙️ In a NYC apartment
It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
