A NYC estimate for a dog this size and coat. Excludes the adoption fee and anything unexpected.
Fully grown at about 15 lbs.
Meet Bella! This girl is a little bundle of joy and love. Bella lights up every room with her extremely friendly and easy-going nature. She literally makes friends anywhere she goes - on walks people stop to ask for pets because she is just so cute and happy. She may be a senior lady but she has lots of spunk! She loves a good snooze and cuddle but also gets so excited for her walks and whenever a new human or dog comes home. She is great with other dogs and cats both in the home and on leash. She is fully potty trained! She is working hard on being okay being left alone. She does bark and paw at the door when her favorite people leave but she settles within an hour or so in her crate. This girlie deserves a home for her golden years and she is so ready for it! Bella is approximately 13y 4m 10d old and is fully grown at 15.8 pounds. They are microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate medical care. Their breed is unknown as we have not had a DNA test done. Although our dogs are listed as unknown breed, buildings with specific dog restrictions typically enforce their rules based on what breeds a dog appears to resemble. It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. This dog is available for adoption through Muddy Paws Rescue. If you're interested in adopting, the first thing you should do is begin the registration process at www.muddypawsrescue.org. If you are already a registered adopter with Muddy Paws Rescue, please email us at adoptionmeetings@muddypawsrescue.org.
This dog's breed isn't known, so here's general guidance for mixes.
🧠 Temperament
Bella lights up every room with her extremely friendly and easy-going nature. Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed.
🎾 Exercise
She loves a good snooze and cuddle but also gets so excited for her walks and whenever a new human or dog comes home. Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.
✂️ Grooming
Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
She does bark and paw at the door when her favorite people leave but she settles within an hour or so in her crate. Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
