A NYC estimate for a dog this size and coat. Excludes the adoption fee and anything unexpected.
Fully grown at about 72 lbs.
Hello future family. Here is a little about me. I am a very calm and friendly girl. I make friends with anyone who wants to say hello to me. I love belly rubs and below the ear scratches, oh man those just put me in a great mood. I only do my business outside. I've gone places by car and tend to just nap during the car rides. I prefer plushy toys rather than balls. While I may be a bit on the bigger side, my foster mom say I walk amazing on leash. I walk by her side and only get distracted by interesting smells but I quickly move on after a quick sniff. I have been around children and birds and I am very neutral around them. I usually sleep where the wind takes me, meaning one second I'm asleep on the kitchen floor, than next second I might be asleep in the living room or hallway. My foster mom always tells me I act like I am carrying the world on my shoulders due to the constant sighing but maybe I am because I make everyone's day brighter. Clementine is approximately 3y 1m 19d old and is fully grown at 72 pounds. They are microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate medical care. Their breed is unknown as we have not had a DNA test done. Although our dogs are listed as unknown breed, buildings with specific dog restrictions typically enforce their rules based on what breeds a dog appears to resemble. It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. This dog is available for adoption through Muddy Paws Rescue. If you're interested in adopting, the first thing you should do is begin the registration process at www.muddypawsrescue.org. If you are already a registered adopter with Muddy Paws Rescue, please email us at adoptionmeetings@muddypawsrescue.org.
This dog's breed isn't known, so here's general guidance for mixes.
🧠 Temperament
I am a very calm and friendly girl. Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed.
🎾 Exercise
I walk by her side and only get distracted by interesting smells but I quickly move on after a quick sniff. Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.
✂️ Grooming
Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
While I may be a bit on the bigger side, my foster mom say I walk amazing on leash. Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
