Fully grown at about 51 lbs.
Hiya! My name is Fiona, but my friends call me “Feenie.” I am an insanely well-behaved, fiercely loyal girl who is looking for her forever crew. If you’re looking for a cuddle bug, I’m your girl—I will happily snuggle up while you work from home or watch TV, looking up at you with my famously expressive eyes. I am a total foodie and a certified daddy’s girl who loves getting out for neighborhood walks. While I am super friendly and love meeting new friends out and about, my home is my sanctuary. I prefer a calm environment without too much rowdiness, and I like to take my time with slow, polite introductions when people visit my space. Once we’re bonded, you’ll have a devoted best friend for life! Fiona is approximately 4y 7m 26d old and is fully grown at 51 pounds. They are microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate medical care. Their breed is unknown as we have not had a DNA test done. Although our dogs are listed as unknown breed, buildings with specific dog restrictions typically enforce their rules based on what breeds a dog appears to resemble. It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. This dog is available for adoption through Muddy Paws Rescue. If you're interested in adopting, the first thing you should do is begin the registration process at www.muddypawsrescue.org. If you are already a registered adopter with Muddy Paws Rescue, please email us at adoptionmeetings@muddypawsrescue.org.
This dog's breed isn't known, so here's general guidance for mixes.
🧠 Temperament
While I am super friendly and love meeting new friends out and about, my home is my sanctuary. Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed.
🎾 Exercise
I am a total foodie and a certified daddy’s girl who loves getting out for neighborhood walks. Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.
✂️ Grooming
Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
