A NYC estimate for a dog this size and coat. Excludes the adoption fee and anything unexpected.
Fully grown at about 10 lbs.
Hi I’m Lainey! I am new to the city & looking for my home! I love meeting people and getting love from everyone. I’m game to go anywhere you do, but I also love staying cozy at home (especially if it’s raining!). I enjoy training sessions too - not potty training though, I’ve got that down already. I like dogs and would probably love to play, but sometimes I get intimidated since I’m so little. I’m excited to explore the rest of the city with my new family. I can’t wait to meet you! Lainey is approximately 2y 3m 1d old and is fully grown at 10 pounds. They are microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate medical care. Their breed is unknown as we have not had a DNA test done. Although our dogs are listed as unknown breed, buildings with specific dog restrictions typically enforce their rules based on what breeds a dog appears to resemble. It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. This dog is available for adoption through Muddy Paws Rescue. If you're interested in adopting, the first thing you should do is begin the registration process at www.muddypawsrescue.org. If you are already a registered adopter with Muddy Paws Rescue, please email us at adoptionmeetings@muddypawsrescue.org.
This dog's breed isn't known, so here's general guidance for mixes.
🧠 Temperament
Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed. The rescue's write-up is the best guide.
🎾 Exercise
Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.
✂️ Grooming
Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
I enjoy training sessions too - not potty training though, I’ve got that down already. Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
